John G Gordon LL.B. is the Managing Partner within the Practice and has specific responsibility for information technology and quality. A Licensed Insolvency Practitioner he concentrates primarily on Voluntary Arrangements. He also has responsibility for Employment Law within the Practice and is advisor to the maintained schools in Northern Ireland. He is currently Treasurer of the Law Society in Northern Ireland and a member of the Lord Chancellor's Insolvency Rules Committee.
Brigid Napier LL.B. has 14 years experience of Commercial Plaintiff Litigation. She is a Notary Public and a Licensed Insolvency Practitioner and as a partner continues her family reputation for expertise and advice in all aspects of Insolvency Law. Her primary focus is on rescue and recovery for clients through Corporate and Individual Voluntary Arrangements. She also acts as and for Liquidators and Trustees to maximise asset realisation for creditors.
Denis McKay LL.B. is the partner responsible for both commercial and domestic conveyancing within the Practice. Denis has considerable experience dealing with the vesting of lands for schools and advises Trustees and a number of Charities in respect of their affairs.
Orlagh O'Neill LL.B. concentrates primarily on Employment Law. She acts on behalf of the Equality Commission and regularly represents some of Northern Ireland's largest employers in the Industrial and Fair Employment Tribunals. Orlagh lectures on Employment Law at the Institute of Professional Legal Studies, Queens University Belfast and is currently Treasurer of the Employment Lawyers Group in Northern Ireland. She also undertakes the drafting of wills and the administration of estates within the Practice.
Joseph Napier LL.B. is a grandson of the Founder of the firm and qualified as a solicitor in 1999 after graduating from Queens University Belfast. A partner in the Litigation Department he represents both plaintiffs and defendants, and specialises in personal injury litigation.
Maria Glover joined the firm in 2004, having graduated from Queens University Belfast with a First Class Honours degree in Law. She was awarded the Lord Chief Justice Prize in 2005 and was recently appointed a Sub-Editor of the Bulletin of Northern Ireland Law. Maria advises on a range of areas including personal insolvency, charitable trusts and employment law. She also tutors in Insolvency Law at the Institute of Professional Legal Studies.
Maria McCloskey studied law at Queen’s University in Belfast where she was elected President of the University Students' Union in 2004. Maria joined Napier & Sons in 2005 and graduated from the Institute of Professional Legal Studies at Queen’s University with distinction in 2007. Maria concentrates mainly on defence litigation, representing Royal Mail and BT plc.
